Our team
In 2013 we founded Smart Home Innovations for the love of what we do. We wanted to escape the confines of a large firm to allow our creativity and knowledge to flourish and for our efforts to be invested into our our own business growth.
We believe that excellent design is truly powerful, true design is an outcome of hard work, and the unknown should be explored, broken and rebuilt to discover innovation.
Working together as husband and wife is truly a rewarding experience as we share the same goals and values whilst having a deep level of trust and understanding of each others methodology.
My beloved wife having completed her studies at the University of the Creative Arts left with a BA (hons) degree in Interior Architecture and a Masters in Interior Design. Rachael leads a highly creative studio with a portfolio spanning properties from country homes in Kent, Sussex, Cambridge and Gloucestershire. She has been practicing interior architecture & design for over 15 years and has established a reputation for creating elegant luxurious interiors for private clients.
I studied Architecture at Kingston University and support Rachael in overseeing our company with a HNC in Architectural design. Our partnership is one that is forged on an understanding of planning that considers the installation practicalities as well as the aesthetics. Having trained and qualified as an NICEIC Electrical engineer I find great enjoyment in the smart home sector. I am an expert in smart home platforms and as such offer Loxone, Control4 and Rako lighting.
Installing these systems requires an in-depth knowledge in networking principles so I am trained and certified as a network administrator for installation and maintenance of computer networks.
